Andrew White, Director of Next Generation Network Architecture for Qwest, brings over 12 years experience designing, certifying, and deploying communications systems. Since joining Qwest in 1998, he has managed teams deploying new circuit and packet technologies expanding capacity and features in Qwest’s Long Distance and Local Voice Networks. For the past four years, Andrew has focused on converging network services through an access agnostic application platform.
Andrew has participated in the Alliance of Telecommunications Industry Standards (ATIS) Exploratory Group on Convergence and ATIS NGN Focus Group, where he assisted in the development of the ATIS NGN Roadmap and Gap Analysis. Andrew is a subject matter expert in service interaction management, service enablers, and designing networks that facilitate application reuse.
Prior to joining Qwest, Andrew managed mobile battlefield communications in the U.S. Army Field Artillery. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
