As the Chief Technology Officer, Dom Stasi leads an engineering and operations team that is responsible for distributing over 3,500 hours of video content each month while keeping the company’s programs and services at the forefront of the on-demand industry.
During Stasi’s tenure, the company has introduced several interactive technological advancements, including ADONISS – TVN’s Emmy Award nominated asset management technology (2008). TVN is today the nation’s largest Video On Demand television network.
A veteran of Project Apollo, in 1974 Stasi’s space program experience was put to use as Director of Engineering for HBO during that network’s pioneering era of satellite television. In 1980 he joined a fledgling MTV as that network’s first Vice President and General Manager of Network Operations and Design Engineering.
Stasi is the 2008 Chairman of the Society of Satellite Professionals International, (SSPI) a nonprofit member-benefit society that serves satellite professionals through education, career development and professional recognition. He has served on the NCTA Engineering Committee for 25 years, and is a member of the Digital Cinema Technology Committee of SMPTE.
